Position Summary The Mail Clerk is responsible for organizing and distributing mail among departments within the corporation.
Duties include sorting mail by departments and distributing mail items to each department.
Essential Functions of the Position Receive mail from a postal worker.
Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail.
Distribute mail items to each department.
Record and register mail.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities No direct supervisory duties.
Physical Demands Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
Must be customer-service oriented.
Must have the ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
Possess a Valid Drivers' License.
